Different Bead Terms and their Meaning

Dale Feuer has been designing and creating original art jewelry for the past ten years. Her geologist sister sparked her interest in stones, her glassblower mother awakened her love of all things silicate, and her passion for pearls is all her own. After working as a science writer for two decades, she felt a need to exercise the long-neglected right side of her brain. That's when she discovered beading and never looked back.

Her jewelry design embraces the notion of "balanced asymmetry," intermixing a variety of materials to achieve equilibrium. Two sides, although they may be very different in composition, offset and complement each other in terms of color, texture and proportion. Dale's work has been featured in jewelry magazines, including the December 2007 issue of Bead & Button Magazine. Her work has been featured at local art shows and sales and will be sold at VisArts Gallery store in downtown Rockville. See her collection at www.palefiredesigns.net.
